About me

That photo on the right, that’s me that is. I’m wearing my nice new jumper I got from BHS a few weeks ago. Anyway, I digress.  So, back to me then, what can I say? Well firstly I’m a student, studying for a PhD in medical engineering at the University of Bath. I’m in my final (3rd) year now. Gosh scary thought that is. This theoretically means that I should be finishing quite soon…theoretically. Afterwards…well I’m not quite sure. Any suggestions are welcome.

Other things I do with my time include being a resident tutor. This means that I live in university accomodation looking after the saftey (close that fire door) and wellbeing (turn off that music, its 3am) of the students. I also volunteer for SORTED. This is an organisation at University that provides free training workshops to students.

I also enjoy many other activities  photography, painting and learning Chinese to name a few. I will try to include a few examples of these on this blog in due course.

Update: I am now in the 4th year of my PhD. This really is my final year… promise. Indeed, I plan of submitting my thesis fairly soon. I still welcome any suggestions about what I should do next.

  3. I saw your comment on The Chronicles of a Rocket Surgeon, about the whole blog buddy thing. I think what you said about having a blog buddy be someone different is spot on. I think you’re doing great things on your blog. I enjoyed browsing through it :)

  4. I’d just like to point out a subtle spelling error on your CV. Under your References section, available is spelled as availible. Not to be a nuisance, but some employers can be very picky about minute, almost-negligible things like that.

  7. Michael – what happened to your blog? I hit the link on the email I received to make a comment, and got a message saying there was nothing there and that area could not be found??? It had your heading and the blog pages, but no home page.
